  • Sharon is a gifted leader and business strategist who specializes in building purpose-centered

organizations from the ground up and mobilizing communities of care. She began her

entrepreneurial career twenty-five years ago as the co-founder and CEO of the Gill Law Firm, a

commercial law practice that originated in South Florida. From its humble beginnings with one

attorney and an assistant, the firm eventually merged with several Black, Hispanic, and AsianAmerican-owned law firms to create the largest minority-owned legal conglomerate in the

country. It was the recipient of numerous professional and civic awards including Supplier of the

Year from the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

With the law firm merger complete, Sharon felt stirred to combat several pressing issues in her

surrounding community. She created the Oasis Compassion Agency, a nonprofit organization

that addressed food insecurity, joblessness, and mental counseling for the working poor of

Central Palm Beach County, Florida. In partnership with local government, churches,

community leaders, and private sector companies such as Walmart, Publix, and Costco, the

organization operated a food bank, a career placement agency, and a women’s center. Under

Sharon’s leadership, Oasis distributed millions of pounds of food, provided hundreds of jobs, and

fed thousands of families, over a period of 16 years.

Sharon’s leadership was recognized by multiple media sources in print, television and online.

tackle the daunting issue of the disparity of treatment received by cancer patients who are

women of color. Once again, Sharon is rolling up her sleeves to bring together scientists, doctors,

private and public sector companies to level the playing field of care for all cancer patients. In
